Random & Ridiculous
Mancrushes
Levar Burton
Reading Rainbow is one of my all time favorite shows and very influential to who I am today. As the host, he always seemed like a caring, intelligent, curious, and genuine individual working to improve reading opportunities for all children.
Mark Tremonti
Initially knowing him as the lead guitarist of Creed (yes, I enjoy Creed), I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing him branch off with two more amazing bands: Alter Bridge and Tremonti. He is definitely a very underrated and underappreciated musician.
Chris Jericho
Ayatollah of Rock and Rollah. Le Champion. Y2J. Lionheart. The Painmaker. I love professional wrestling and rock n’ roll, and this man excels at them both. His ability to reinvent himself as a musician and professional wrestler makes him amazing. I really want to make “The List!”
Hugh Jackman
Though not a huge superhero guy, I’ve always been intrigued by Wolverine. To see this actor’s versatility in various films, including displaying his musical and dancing chops in one of my personal favorites, The Greatest Showman, has been enjoyable.
Bucks of the Past
Vin Baker
Probably my favorite Buck ever. I still have his magnet on my fridge. The Bucks hat I currently wear was won as a prize for knowing what university he attended. Do you know?
Frank Brickowski
A great player on some not so great teams of my childhood
Jon McGlocklin
I have this card autographed after winning a three point contest in a MACC Fund youth basketball camp.
Darvin Ham
Lots of energy and a dunk machine
Todd Day
Loved him and Lee Mayberry together: the MayDay Connection!
Marty Conlon
One of the more unique shooting techniques.
Blue Edwards
Not sure of I liked him more for his dunks or his name
Moses Malone
His goggles gave me hope I coud make the NBA with my glasses. Too bad I didn’t have the talent.
Sunday Funnies
Dennis the Menace
An impulsively creative boy that finds trouble. . .sounds familiar.
Curtis
Always reminded me of Fresh Prince of Belair. So good!
Pickles
Grandpa is the best.
Hagar the Horrible
Being a cheesehead, this is the only viking I like.
Peanuts
A classic!
Mother Goose & Grimm
Very underrated.
Beetle Bailey
I wish I could nap like beetle.
TheFamily Circus
Feels like my own life. . .and I love it!
Candyland
Kit Kat
Football cream. It’s football cream.
Starburst
Colorful little slices rectangular prisms of heaven
Skittles
Taste the Rainbow is pure marketing genius.
Twix
Vastly underrated
Peanut Butter Snickers
I don’t usually mess with the original, but this is a tasty exception.
Peanut Butter M & M’s
No sharing, even with the share size. Sorry,
Crunch
Krackel is an acceptable substitution.
Swedish Fish
Not fishy at all
Sitcoms
Roseanne/The Conners
In my opinion, this is the best sitcom of all time.
Everybody Loves Raymond
I connect to these characters on so many levels.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
In West Philadelphia, born and raised. . .
Build it.
Such fond memories every time I hear that song.
Night Court
Maybe more nostalgic than actually entertaining, this reminds me of nights at home with my dad.
The Office
Pure comedic genius
Family Matters
Everyone has a little Steve Urkel in them. Everyone.
Married With Children
Seeing it as an adult, I wonder why I was allowed to watch it as a kid.
Movies with Mesmerizing Music
The Last of the Mohicans
Love every single aspect of this classic. . .except Magua.
The Greatest Showman
I love that my favorite changes just about every time I watch this.
Halloween
Just try to go to sleep with this music on. I dare you.
Glory
I’ve got a soft spot for Civil War movies. The music is almost as inspiring as the movie. Almost.
Jurassic Park
Dinosaurs are very, very, very old. This soundtrack never gets old.
Raiders of the Lost Ark
If any of the trilogy is on, I’m watching it. (Don’t get me started on the fourth one.)
Frozen 2
My daughters can’t stop singing along. (Neither can I.)
Tangled
Underrated in my opinion.
Underrated and Unappreciated Movies
Dream Team
Peter Boyle might actually be Jesus
The Money Pit
Sometimes, I feel just like they do.
Kindergarten Cop
Many of these scenes play out in my actual classroom.
She-Devil
Brilliant, and who doesn’t love Ed Begley Junior?
King Ralph
Spotted Dick anyone?
Trading Places
Wall Street for Dummies
Liar Liar
I know this move verbatim, and I am proud of it.
Uncle Buck
I still want to use a shovel to make a pancake.
Subpar Stars of the Milwaukee Brewers
Rob Deer
Either a massive homerun or a mighty whiff.
Kevin Seitzer
I rooted for him ever since I went to a game where he got nailed in the face.
Jeff Cirillo
He is the reason I play third base and my favorite number is 26.
Franklin Stubbs
Loved his name more than his play.
Ricky Bones
I had this exact card on my wallet at all times for a number of years. I should bring this tradition back.
Pat Listach
His Rookie of the Year campaign in 1992 solidified my love of the game, especially with the lost art of the stolen base.
Greg Vaughn
Another big power, big strikeout guy. And a unique batting stance I tried (poorly) to replicate.
Fernando Vina
Probably best known for being steamrolled by Albert Belle on an infield tag.
Video Games I Couldn’t Get Enough Of
One of the best games ever!
Such a silly game that made no sense at times, but I loved it.
Many elementary school afternoons were enjoyed working on a new high score.
I'm still not sure why this games wasn’t more popular.
So addicting and reminiscent of my first job delivering Milwaukee Sentinel papers at 5AM
Often regarded as one of the worst games of all time, it was so bad, it was good.
This game is the reason I got Playstation, the reason I started working at Cousin’s Subs, and the reason I spent so much of my high school career locked away in my basement.
Creeped me out. The thought of the music that accompanied the main villiain still makes my heart race.
