The video below highlighted the first year of our outdoor kindergarten program (then named forest kindergarten). Since then, my 4 P’s philosophy has evolved and continues to shape my work with my class, my school, my district, and my community. This document can be easily adapted to fit the standards and developmental milestones of your population. Page one allows to observe and document in play based on location, type of play, and activity. Page two includes potential report card descriptors and accepted developmental standards that can be used to document evidence that play does help children reach their curricular and developmental goals.
