Day 308
One of the biggest pieces of our project puzzle might just be solved with an equipment purchase. Since we have bought the farm. I’ve started learning, researching, and eyeing up opportunities to add to the equipment we need to run our farm as smoothly as possible. The more I learn, the more I need to learn. It is somewhat thrilling to see a tractor for sale in a yard Ilm driving by or online. Yes, I just said tractor shopping was oddly thrilling. My priorities have definitely shifted as I mature (though I am not sure if I will ever be actually mature).
Because the equipment we desire is quite an emotional and financial investment, we have tried to show responsible behavior in the process. It is a huge purchase so we really need to have a grasp of what we need to do both now and potentially in the future to make sure we are making the right decision. We know a tractor is in our future. We just need to figure out the when and hows of that tractor, especially when it comes to the implements.
A few years ago, I couldn't name an implement, Now, I have to decide on which ones we want.
We definitely need a mower attachment, One of the main jobs our tractor will have is to continue our restoration project. We will need to keep a close eye on the plants that are popping up so we know when to know them and when to let them grow.
Having a bucket will be great to move dirt, wood, and other things around the farm.
Similarly, forks will make getting things to and from the loft much, much easier. As I get older, this will be essential.
