Day 355

Just when I think we are done, we’ve only just begun. In the last few days our inflatable family has continued to increase. For St. Nick’s we added three new inflatables for the three kids. Thinking we might be done, I added them to our collection, connected them to a timer, and now proudly enjoy a row of inflatables in our front yard every evening.

And then we were done. Or so we thought.

One morning, my wonderful mother-in-law, affectionately known as Gaga, came over with a box. It didn't take long before the kids unboxed the box and revealed the newest member of our inflatable family.

A ten foot snowman.

So far this is the largest member of the family. Not only does it need a bit more securing into the ground, it takes even longer to inflate.

At the end of every school day, our biggest fan of inflatables, our son, sprints off the bus to ask permission to plug in the snowman. Once it is fully inflated, he goes over and checks in on the other inflatables. More often than not, the wind our farm gets on a pretty much regular basis has shifted their position and they need simple adjustments.

If the kids get their responsibilities done, one of their holiday evening requests is to go drive by some of our other favorite inflatables. There’s the Grinch. There’s also a few ten foot Santas. There’s plenty of reindeer, snowmen, and elves. One of their personal favorites is a large dog inflatable with a smaller poop emoji right next to it. Extra points for creativity. There is also a yard which has nearly twenty inflatables of every shape, color, and size. Itr is definitely a must see.

Besides the inflatables, checking out the neighborhood light shows are always a hit. We decided to decorate the inside of our barn rather than the outside of our house so traveling to see various light shows (especially those which coordinate to music) is a regular occurrence. Holiday decorations are always a go to activity. We’ll definitely improve our decoration as the years go by.

With that being said, I foresee more inflatables in our future.
