The Farm - Week 5
The first week of school took away work time at the farm, but that doesn’t mean things aren’t getting done. We took down a dead ash tree and converted that space into a fire pit. A few nights of bonfires and s’mores were welcome respites from the stressors of the beginning of the school year.
We added two new members to our farm family with the addition of Mittens Marshmallow and Shadow Cotton Candy. At this point, the names of these kitties are still evolving.
We also officially took the next steps on making our dreams a reality. We applied for a limited liability corporation, or LLC. We are excited to continue improving the land and adding to our farm in order to create a small and sustainable business. We are calling it Craneview on Plainview and are excited to share some of our ideas soon!
My wife and I are also toying around with the idea of documenting this journey through podcasting. Our still to be titled podcast is in the planning stages, but the tools we need have arrived so it is only a matter of time.
I’ve also started to plan out a more education-specific podcast I have titled Teaching Off Trail. I hope to create an inaugural episode by the end of the week. Stay tuned!
