Choose Love

I don’t usually aim to be controversial. In fact, I find it hard to understand why some people make controversy out of things. Growing up in a very conservative household, I was “sheltered” from many things because they were considered ungodly or immoral. I look back on those days and now see that I was being “protected” from humanity.

In today’s world, it’s often hard to see the love that exists because of the hate that seems to overwhelm everything. When I wore this sticker out in public and an older white man approached me out of the blue, I immediately felt like I was about to be given grief for wearing it. He looked me right in the eye an d said, “That sticker sends a message. And I approve of it.”

Maybe love will win after all. If we all can choose it.
