Small Things in the Big City
Urban exploration can bring play to the next level. The last few Saturdays, my family has had the opportunity to take walks to discover downtown Milwaukee. Self-admittedly a homer, I feel Milwaukee is very underrated as a city. However, regardless of what city you are discovering, looking at the small intricacies of a big city bring many things to light.
Our downtown days have allowed us to experience many elements we often ignore, including architecture, urban art, and city nature.
Whether it be finding patterns in skyscraper windows, discovering how nature finds a way to survive even in the concrete jungle, or admiring the historical and artistic significance present in the city, taking notice of the small things in big cities is playful and powerful.
