Game on!
In the age of technology and screen time, I love a good walk outside. However, when I am inside, I try to find myself busy with a book or board game. It sometimes feels like board and card games are a lost art.
In my classroom, I regularly introduce new games to the kids. Though time-consuming, their interest and excitement in these new opportunities makes the time spent introducing and practicing well worth it. Watching them take these games and create their own versions and rules is even better.
But best of all is being able to play these games with my own kids. Family game nights are a great break from the hustle and bustle of life. I love playing old classics and trying out new games.
I’m even considering gathering up different games and hosting game nights at the barn.
Maybe I’ll see you there!
