Starting Small

When we acquired a 20-acre hobby farm, we had grand aspirations. Dreams of a booming prairie, thriving forest, and farm animal menagerie filled our heads. But, instead, we have an invasive species infested lot bursting with thistles and mud.

The dream is not squashed. It will just take time. And maybe some trial and error along the way.

The process is much more important than the product. Learning, attempting, and creating are daily adventures.

Whether you are a teacher preparing your classroom, a business owner developing your business plan, a parent working with tricky children stuff, or anyone looking at a daunting task in front of you, small steps will get you there.

You will fall along the way. Get back up.

No matter how well you plan, unexpected hurdles will trip you up. Get back up.

Mental exhaustion will work to throw you off track. Keep your eyes on the prize.

And after you conquer your goal, come help me on the farm. I’m sure I’ll still be working. ;)
