Overlooked Art
One of our favorite family activities is heading out to enjoy a new nature spot. Usually, this involves visiting charming little towns across the Badger State. After our hike, we patronize the local downtown for lunch and/or dessert. We find fun little nuances in these communities. I love looking at the older architecture, any historical markers, and browsing the unique local businesses. In this exploration, undoubtedly, there will be some sort of overlooked art. By overlooked art, I mean a splash of artistic expression one would probably gloss over unless they were looking for it. That’s why I always make sure to walk a little slower and look a little closer when these opportunities arise.
I love the serenity of the country. I adore the hustle and bustle of a large urban area. Yet, in the middle, there is plenty to be seen. Next time you find yourself in a quaint main street setting, slow down and take seek out the overlooked art all around you.
