Long Time, No See
This weekend, I had the pleasure of attending a nature-based early childhood symposium at an absolutely gorgeous arboretum. It was an honor to be able to be a part of an author meet & greet to share TEACHING OFF TRAIL. It was also nice to be an attendee and not a presenter. I sat back, listened, observed, and jotted down a ton of ideas I am excited to bring to my classroom.
I was also happy to run into many people I’ve interacted with before and amazingly enough, a number of people who had heard of me. Amazingly enough, a handful of individuals sought me out to talk about their experience with my book. One particular individual (shoutout to Molly) inquired about why I have been absent in my writing on this particular website. It was humbling to hear people actually read this and also inspiring knowing they wanted more. Why haven’t I been writing?
Well, it’s been a combination of things. School. Family. Farm life. Children. Chickens. Wetland Restoration. Trail building. Garden creation. Children. Book promotion. Book #2 proposal writing. Milwaukee Bucks viewing. Did I mention children?
It has definitely been an exhausting last few months. But it also been exciting and enriching. Now that the school year that never seemed to end is actually ending, I will be providing more updates on farm life, our restoration, and of course, nature play.
